Meet Dr. Sipra Gohel aka Dr. G, General Dentist
Known to her patients as Dr. G, Dr. Sipra Gohel is a New York University trained dentist who brings her many years of experience to our practice.
Dr. G’s career started while being raised in Houston, Texas where she first explored the field of dentistry as a dental assistant. Hard work and her broad experience led to an acceptance at the New York University College of Dentistry, one of the most fast-paced and prestigious dental colleges in North America.
Upon completing her degree, Dr. G pursued her residency in general dentistry at Brooklyn Hospital. She subsequently spent the next five years in New York working in the boroughs of the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan. She credits these busy settings and tremendously diverse spectrum of patients and their related dental care with providing her with the experience to become the dentist she is today.
Dr. G believes that the core of her practice is patience, integrity, and continuing to expand her knowledge in the field of dentistry. With participation in numerous continuing education courses and study clubs, Dr. G has shifted the focus of the practice to preventive dentistry versus reactive dentistry. She wants to help you preserve and protect your own natural teeth by assessing them on a deeper level than ever before. It is with this evolving philosophy that Dr. G provides patient care.
A romantic at heart, Dr. G met her husband in 2012 and made the move from NYC to BC in 2013. They welcomed their daughter Raahi Siya in June of 2017 and will soon welcome their twins in November of 2019. In her spare time, Dr. G enjoys reading, travelling, biking, and exploring the different parts of BC with friends and family.

Carolyn
With over 24 years of experience in the dental industry, Carolyn started her career as a dental assistant for 3 years in Ontario. Her desire to educate and provide quality dentistry led her to pursue her Dental Hygiene diploma and move to BC. She has been helping our patients maintain their oral health for over 21 years. Carolyn shares Dr. G’s enthusiastic demand for the high quality of care that is a cornerstone of our practice. Her greatest satisfaction comes from educating her patients and helping them maintain their oral health. Carolyn’s greatest gift to her patients is her unique gentle touch and her wonderful ability to relate… She will put you at ease from your very first appointment.
When Carolyn isn’t taking care of our patients, she is a dedicated, busy mom to her son Brogan, enjoys the outdoors, and likes to play baseball.
Mishgan
Mishgan has been committed to providing quality dental hygiene care for over a decade. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, she continued on to achieve her diploma and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. Following her move from Edmonton to BC, she continued to pursue her passion to provide the utmost in dental hygiene care by ensuring that her clients have a comfortable, quality-based appointment. Her interest in educating patients on the importance of oral health has deepened as she enriches her career by being a part-time clinical instructor for dentistry and dental hygiene students at the University of British Columbia.
When Mishgan is not following her passion for oral health, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family (including her son Noah and daughter Leima), travelling, and spending time outdoors in the beautiful BC landscape.
Office Manager
Jane
Jane was born and raised in a small town in BC and spent 10 years working as a lifeguard and swim instructor after high school. This is where she learned her skills in caring and looking after people. In 1996, Jane returned to school and graduated with honours from Douglas College as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). While there, she received the “Student Award of Excellence For Professionalism, Ethics And Spirit Of Co-Operation” from the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, an honour bestowed upon few students in Canada.
Jane diligently worked as a CDA and receptionist for five years before being promoted to Dental Office Manager. After over 20 years in the dental industry, she attempted to retire in 2017, but was drawn back to dentistry in 2018 due to the exceptional atmosphere here at Apple Dental.
Jane is happily married to a wonderful man, Allan, and has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. When she is not dedicating her time and energy to the patients of Apple Dental, Jane likes to read, travel, and is a connoisseur of chocolate and fine wine!
Treatment Coordinator
Virginia
Virginia is a new member of our Apple Dental family. She brings with her many valuable skills as she has worked as an administrator for the last 14 years in several industries. This past year, Virginia made a big change in her life and completed her Dental Reception course at Douglas College. In December of 2015, Virginia joined us as the new smile of Apple Dental. She is the sweet voice you hear when you get a reminder about your appointment or a message that it’s time for your hygiene visit. Hers is also the friendly face you will see every time you arrive at the office.

In her free time, Virginia loves to sing acapella with an amazing group of women in Vancouver called Lions Gate Chorus and to spend time with her three sisters.
Certified Dental Assistant
Parm
Parm is Dr. G’s multi-skilled assistant who received her diploma from Bellingham Technical College over 15 years ago. In an industry where patients often feel fearful and nervous, Parm’s calm and caring nature ensures that patients have a friend by their side and are as comfortable as possible.
“The greatest part of my job is working with a team who provides quality dentistry while making patients feel at ease.” Parm's days off are spent keeping up with her 2 young boys, Rahvi and Ajeet, and enjoying family time with her husband and family!
